Check your system Performance & Reliability

Run DialogWindows Vista provides a built in application Reliability and Performance Monitor which can be used to track your system’s performance and reliability. This utility helped me to know about which application is using my network resources. So, I found this built in utility very useful. To check Reliability and some key indicators of performance of your Windows Vista operating system, just open run dialog box by pressing Windows Key + R and
then type perfmon.msc and click ok.

Performance Monitor After opening perfmon.msc, you’ll see four graphs showing info about CPU, Hard disk, Memory and Network usage. You can also find some more geeky stuff over there, there you’ll get data about usage statics of various processes and much more…

Here you can also view various system logs in Reliability monitor, which shows a system stability chart showing failure and success of Software installations, any other Warning or Error, ever generated in log. This gives you an overview about how your system is performing various tasks.
